“As wine-makers, more formally known as “enologists”, we are aware that the world of wine appreciation is a rather closed circle and we often found ourselves talking about what we could do to promote wine in an accessible and enjoyable way. Wine is just half the story of course as it is best enjoyed with food as part of a more complete gastronomic experience. This is the backdrop to the concept of our “urban winery” which brings a taste of wine country into the heart ofBilbao.
Our mission is perhaps ambitious; to offer in an urban setting a wide range of choice wines at accessible prices, a wine education through our unique varietal stock and in-house courses, and, for those wanting to take things further, the possibility of producing bespoke wine in our state-of-the-art blending room. We are pleased to say that all of this now takes place in a stunning high street locale where we offer wine by the glass to enjoy with the very best local delicacies, cater for both retail and wholesale customers and run our in-house educational activities.
Whether you just want to enjoy a glass or two of good wine with some excellent bar food , pick up a bottle to take home , buy in larger quantities or have us blend, bottle and label a wine specifically to your taste, you are more than welcome to pay us a visit or contact us via email. Our bespoke wine service is probably more accessible than you think and makes an excellent personal or corporate gift.
We look forward to sharing our passion for wine with you.”

The design of our urban winery is both innovative and respectful to tradition; the blending room – the heart of our business – has a thoroughly modern appearance but we like to think that a wine-maker of old would quickly find it a familiar and inspirational space in which to work.
With our environmental footprint in mind, state-of-the-art technology is used alongside sustainable and largely recyclable packaging materials.
Our architect, Txema Onzain, points out that the most surprising element in the locale is the impressive row of stainless steel wine storage tanks set against a backdrop of coloured ceramic tiles. The steel framed observation windows, attractive features in themselves, combine both function and design and allow a tantalizing glimpse into the craft which takes place within.
